 THE ADVOCATSThe Advocats are an 18-piece ensemble that plays big band jazz. Featuring vocals by Nina Richmond, they grace the bandstand at the Chick n' Deli the first Monday of every month, from 8PM until 11PM. Because of a busier schedule this year, Mike will no longer be playing with the Advocats. Please visit their website, and go see them play at the Chick n' Deli regardless! A great way to spend a Monday night!  ZEBRINASince 2008, Mike has been playing clarinet with Zebrina, a klezmer-fusion band led by keyboardist and composer Jonathan Feldman. Zebrina will be recorded their first album in the fall of 2009 with a generous grant from the Ontario Arts Council. Zebrina features some of Toronto's best jazz musicians, including Joel Schwartz (from the Outlanders) on guitar, Bret Higgins (from the Outlanders and Beyond the Pale) on bass, and Colin Kingsmore (from the Elizabeth Shepherd trio) on drums.
MIKE ANKLEWICZ TRIO
Mike leads groups of various instrumentations (usually piano/guitar and bass) for parties and events. We play all styles including mellow jazz, light popular music and klezmer. For these events, Mike can play a combination of saxophones, clarinet and flute.
KLEZFACTOR
KlezFactor is a 7 piece band playing traditional and progressive Klezmer music.
